About limea

How it started

Limea started with a habit: sending each other episodes, then talking about them after. Audio became how we stay informed. We wanted to build the "talking about it" part in.

Why

Podcasts broadcast one way. There is nowhere to question, verify, or add context to what is said. Since we build our picture of the world from what we hear, that felt worth fixing.

Listening Layer

It is just a podcast player. Free, every feature included. Subscribe, download, listen - nothing held back behind a tier.

Social Layer

This is where it gets interesting. Discussions anchored to the moment, not scattered across group chats and screenshots. Say why you are starting a thread before you start it. Constructive replies sit above the noise.

Context Layer (coming soon)

Claims get surfaced right when you hear them. Built from our own tooling and the community's own fact-checking - plus a cross-podcast view of how topics connect.

Your attention, your data

You are in control of both. No ads means no reason to build streaks or autoplay traps. Your feed is configurable - go chronological any time you want.

We design the conversation itself, so thoughtful criticism outranks heated, low-value replies.

Limea runs on solidarity. No premium tier, no paywall - every user gets every feature. Because you pay us, not advertisers, we work for you. That is not charity, it is just cleaner incentives.

Who we are

A team of two (plus some help), building in Austria, under European rules. Accountable to our users - not to whoever's bidding on their attention.
